Discover Wollondilly Shire Council’s Journey to Employee Engagement Excellence

Wollondilly Shire Council, is dedicated to fostering a passionate workforce to drive regional growth and prosperity. Over recent years, Wollondilly has made significant strides in enhancing employee engagement through a strategic partnership with Insync.

Since 2018, Insync has provided Wollondilly with crucial insights and comparative data, helping them identify areas for improvement. Initial survey results revealed challenges, with “Investment in People” scores in the bottom quartile of Insync’s local government benchmark. However, these findings catalysed targeted action plans focused on communication, collaboration, and efficiency.

Insync facilitated team planning sessions, allowing employees to share insights and develop strategies for positive change. Key recommendations included:

  • Establishing effective communication channels
  • Encouraging cross-departmental collaboration
  • Streamlining workflows for operational efficiency
  • Fostering a culture of trust and open feedback

Wollondilly’s engagement scores rose dramatically, reaching the top 5% of the benchmark.
