Nicholas Barnett is Insync’s new CEO

Press release

Insync – employee, customer and board survey and consulting specialists – has a new CEO. Nicholas Barnett is now CEO after six years as the company’s executive chairman.

James Garriock, Insync’s former CEO, remains on the company’s board and has moved into an executive director role, working more closely with clients on improving staff, customer and customer engagement.

Nicholas said: “I thank James Garriock for his efforts in getting the business to where it is today. We have a very solid foundation upon which to build an exciting future. During James’ time as CEO we were recognised as BRW Fast 100 company for our growth, we launched our new Customer SurveyAlignment and Engagement Survey and Employee Engagement Survey and also co-founded the Dream Employers Survey.”

Nicholas has been a director, business leader and consultant for over 30 years. He is a former partner of KPMG and co-founder of Board Benchmarking and Gender Worx. He is also non-executive chairman of Ansvar Insurance and a non-executive director of Mission Australia. He works closely with many of Australia’s largest boards and has carried out over 60 board and committee reviews.

Nicholas said: “I’m passionate about assisting senior executives, boards, and their organisations to measure and improve their effectiveness. At Insync, we’re about helping make organisations better places to work, more productive and more profitable.”

Earlier this year, Nicholas released his first book: “GPS for your Organisation: how to energise your employees and build sustainable high performance” and he looks forward to applying his framework, tools and advice at Insync and helping the firm’s clients do the same.

“We have a brilliant team of registered psychologists and research experts, an amazing suite of employee, customer and board surveys backed by proven survey technology. I’m excited about the survey and consulting work we’re doing with organisations such as Cathay Pacific, ASX and Queensland Rail, to name just a few. I’m looking forward to leading our organisation towards our vision of becoming the premier stakeholder survey and consulting specialists in Asia Pacific.”
